Lately at work, co-workers will walk by and I will make the pbbbbt sound and tell them ‘excuse you’ as if they farted. I’m on my way to the top.
I don’t get women’s haircut pricing. I get my haircut every three weeks, same cut, same chick, same price every single time. Angie gets a cut and color around every three months, same chick, same cut (maybe different shades), the price is different every single time. It’s like the chick just makes it up in her head. It has been as low as $120 and as high as $250. The solution might be to find another chick you say? We tried that, the chick does a good job and apparently finding a good chick is hard as hell. About 6 months ago Angie tried a different chick and ended up paying the regular chick to fix it. It is a boondoggle.
Movies:
The Aviator – Pretty good, Leonardo DiCaprio looks too young to be an aviation pioneer and big time confident business man. Sidenote: I have been in the Spruce Goose. We visited it in San Diego when I was 14, I think. It is huge. Now it is in Oregon, I think. I should find the pictures from that trip.
Surrogates – Usual action flick. I like Bruce Willis more than most so I probably liked this more than most. Kind of ridiculous leaps of faith per the genre. I did not feel cheated.
Paranormal Activity – Not bad, not as good as I hoped. I think it was built up too much as being truly scary as shit, so it was hard to meet the expectations. Plus with a title like Paranormal Activity, you know it’s gonna be fake, thus not possible in real life, thus not truly frightening. But good. The chick is pretty cute.
Law Abiding Citizen – I liked it well enough and they were ‘hell yeah’ moments. It was confusing who I was supposed to root for and felt a little disappointed with the ending. Ash and I saw Jamie Foxx in Vegas about 9 years ago, he came up to my belly button. It is hard for me to take him seriously.
The Pianist – Really, really good. Movies that show Nazi barbarity never get old.
Angie and I finally finished Dexter Season 3, Bail Organa got LA Law’d, whatever that means.
DJ Hero is coming out this week. This makes me happy. The thing is, I had turntables at one point, two Technic 1200’s, and they were rad. I sold them a few years ago because I had no where to put them up and hadn’t used them in a bit. Big regret. But with DJ Hero, I can get down on the 1’s and 2’s once more. I have a bad feeling that if I get this item, I will spend hours on it, and had I spent that kind of time on the 1200’s in the first place, I may have been better than a pedestrian honkey dj wannabe.
Quote Of The Day – “That’s what a wrench is for, dumbass.” – Clyde, Law Abiding Citizen.
nice. i have never played a playstation 3 or xbox 360, however, i am down to come by and try out DJ Hero. i’m guessing that i shouldn’t bring over my vinyl, right?
Question: what is your dj name?
Well, Worley, you CAN bring over your vinyl, as I smartly bought a regular turntable so I can still rock my vinyl. We just can’t cut it up. I should bring mine to your house since you smartly did not sell your wheels of steels.
I have several dj names. D-Train. Deez Nutz. DJ Wrumplestiltskin. Dan. DJ Cat Lady. DJ Spielz. Furball. Greedo.
Those are just a few I have spun under.
